Carlsberg Visitor Centre closes for rebuilding
The Carlsberg Visitor Centre is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Copenhagen amongst foreign visitors. As a consequence of many years of wear and tear, the ongoing development of the Carlsberg City, and Carlsberg Group's ambition to offer a more contemporary attraction, the Visitor Centre will be temporarily closed for a major renovation and modernization from the 22nd of December 2018.
There are many construction areas and building activities in the Carlsberg City which makes it difficult to access, limits the possibility to run safe and sustainable operations, and challenges the good guest experience.
We want to offer a modern and contemporary attraction, and that requires a major reconstruction and a long period of closing down for all current activities in the Exhibition area and Bar Jacobsen.
The area surrounding Old Carlsberg is an important part of our legacy and we owe our founders to maintain the heritage buildings and create a fantastic Carlsberg experience in the future.
We are sorry for the inconvenience you may experience with the upcoming closure and we look forward to welcome customers and business partners at our new and exciting attraction in 2020.
