Follow the brewer's footsteps - deep down the cool cellars

Visit Carlsberg is ready to open the doors to the dark cellars where J.C. Jacobsen and his brewery workers spent their working days in the late 19th century. Feel the atmosphere of the historic cellars, where Danish beer history started and probably the world's best beer was brewed.
After a trip below ground, it's time to come back to the present in Brewer’s Courtyard, where we’ve fired up the grill and turned up the volume on the DJ's mixer. Admire the beautiful light show in the rustic courtyard while enjoying a beer and a bite to eat.

Take in the real brewery atmosphere
Visit Carlsberg once again opens the gates of the old brewery for this year's Culture Night. You can take a guided tour down into the historic beer cellars and walk in the footsteps of the brewery workers.
Carlsberg's cellars are usually not open to public, but on Culture Night, our knowledgeable guides will take you below ground and tell you all about Carlsberg's exciting history.

Cool lounge atmosphere and beautiful light show
After a trip back in time in the cellars, you can join us in the present day in the Brewer’s Courtyard. Here our DJ will be playing cool lounge music whilst the iconic brewery buildings are enveloped in a beautiful light show that can be seen in the darkness from afar.

Quench your thirst and your hunger
Since we are the birthplace of probably the best beer in the world, we have made sure that there’s plenty of cold Carlsberg and Jacobsen beer all night. The chefs will tickle your taste buds and serve you delicious veal ragout with Dark Larger as well as crispy beer sausages.

Free entrance with the Culture Pass
In order to participate you need a Culture Pass. For more information, visit the Culture Night's website.
